ABFI PricingKnow the range before the call.

Prices are set by the work your books really take, and you see the range up front. It is built from the actual shape of the work: workload, industry-specific complexity, visibility needs, and the level of ownership you need us to carry.

Four ways the accounting function can deepen

These are planning paths, not fixed packages. Each card shows the recurring layer and the monthly starting point. Your estimator answers tell us which path is closest, and the final proposal confirms the exact responsibilities.

01Recurring foundation

Core Accounting

Starting at$850
/ month

For a relatively contained business that needs dependable books, a disciplined close, and one accountable financial operating rhythm.

Typical recurring scope
  • Client Accounting Management coordination
  • Recurring bookkeeping and reconciliations
  • Monthly close discipline
  • Standard P&L and balance-sheet reporting
  • CPA-ready records and handoff coordination
Best fit: current books, lighter account volume, and a straightforward recurring system.

02Managed operations

Managed Accounting

Starting at$1,250
/ month

For a growing operation where payroll, account volume, receivables, or recurring issues mean bookkeeping cannot live on an island.

Typical recurring scope
  • Everything in the Core layer
  • Broader transaction and account workload
  • More active issue and document follow-up
  • Payroll coordination when in scope
  • AP / AR operating support when in scope
  • Stronger recurring review of the close
Best fit: more moving parts, more owner coordination, and a need for stronger control.

03Deeper operating ownership

Integrated Accounting

Starting at$1,850
/ month

For businesses where the numbers are part of operating the company, not merely a record of what happened last month.

Typical recurring scope
  • Everything in the Managed layer
  • Controller review and walkthrough depth
  • Industry-specific accounting workflows
  • More frequent visibility and issue detection
  • Multi-system or multi-entity coordination
  • Reporting built for management use

04Fractional finance team

Fractional Department

Starting at$2,750
/ month

For complex or fast-moving businesses that need broader ownership across accounting, oversight, planning, and financial decision support.

Typical recurring scope
  • Everything in the Integrated layer
  • High-complexity recurring accounting
  • Controller plus CFO / advisory depth
  • Forecasting, budgeting, and scenario support
  • Broader process and stakeholder coordination
  • Higher-touch financial operating cadence
Best fit: the alternative is beginning to look like several separate finance hires.

How ABFI prices

Your price is built in layers.

We use the same logic we use to manage the work: start with the accounting function, then account for the workload, industry-specific complexity, visibility needs, and the depth of oversight. That gives you a defensible range without pretending every business with 200 transactions is the same business.

  1. Core

CAM + close discipline. Always present.

  2. Workload

    Transactions and accounts. Bracketed.

  3. Complexity

    Entities and workflows. Context.

  4. Visibility

    Month-end to near-current. Issue detection.

  5. Depth

    Execution to advisory. Ownership.

ABFI Scope & Investment Estimator

Build the picture in one view.

Answer four short questions. Your scope summary updates beside you as you go, so you can see how each answer changes the picture.

Step 1 / 4 · Workload

How much activity are we managing?

Two separate inputs shape workload. Choose one answer in each group.

1A · Single selectMonthly transaction volume
Choose one
1B · Single selectFinancial accounts
Bank + credit card accounts
Choose one transaction range and one account range to continue.
Step 2 / 4 · Business context

What kind of business are we looking at?

These answers give ABFI context and help us understand who is using the estimator. They do not automatically increase the price.

2A · Single selectIndustry
Choose the closest match
2B · Single selectAnnual revenue
Choose one range
Choose one industry and one revenue range to continue.
Step 3 / 4 · Scope + industry complexity

What should ABFI own, and what makes your business harder to account for?

First choose the recurring responsibilities you want ABFI to carry. Then we will show a second set of questions that changes with the industry you selected.

3A · Multi-selectRecurring responsibilities
Select all that apply
3B · Industry-specific · Multi-selectIndustry-specific complexity
Select all that apply

The options here change based on the industry you selected.

Select at least one recurring responsibility to continue.
Step 4 / 4 · Visibility + current condition

How quickly do you need accounting problems to surface?

This is the outcome we actually care about: how current the financial picture needs to be for the way you run the business.

4A · Single selectHow quickly should issues become visible?
Choose the closest fit
4B · Single selectWhat condition are the books in today?
Choose one
Choose one visibility need and one current book condition to prepare your estimate.

The count can match. The work can still be completely different.

Two businesses can process the same number of transactions and still need very different levels of coordination, review, reporting and ownership. That's why ABFI looks at the whole operating picture, not one number.

What the same work costs to hire

ABFI starting price Salary of the people you'd hire: a bookkeeper; a bookkeeper and an accountant; a bookkeeper, an accountant and a finance manager. BLS May 2025 median pay, divided by 12, before benefits and payroll tax.

The floor has a reason

Even the lighter engagement is still an accounting department.

ABFI is not trying to become the cheapest bookkeeping line item. The baseline relationship still carries coordination, close discipline, reporting, and tax-ready handoff because that is what makes the financial system accountable.

Exact proposal

If the range works, now we earn the exact number.

We confirm the real account structure, the current condition of the books, what ABFI needs to own, and any historical work. Then you receive a scope you can actually hold us accountable to.

  • 01If the range is too high, the estimator did its job and saved everyone a sales call.
  • 02If the range works, book a conversation and we will make the scope exact.
  • 03Historical cleanup, migrations, and unusual integrations are quoted separately.

No mystery after the estimate.

The estimator puts you in the right neighborhood. These answers explain what happens between a range and the final engagement.

Is the estimator a quote?

No. It is a planning range based on the information you provide. ABFI confirms the exact scope after reviewing the real accounting environment and any historical issues.

Why can two businesses with similar volume land at different prices?

Volume is only one part of the work. Entity structure, visibility needs, payroll, AP/AR, integrations, industry workflows, and oversight depth can materially change what ABFI has to own.

What can move the final number?

Material differences between the estimate and the actual books, multi-entity complexity, inventory or job costing, unusual integrations, broader service scope, or significant historical reconciliation.

Is cleanup included in the monthly range?

No. Catch-up and historical reconciliation are one-time projects and are scoped separately after ABFI reviews how far behind the records are and what needs to be rebuilt.

Does ABFI prepare taxes?

No. ABFI does not provide tax preparation or CPA services. We maintain accurate records and coordinate organized information for the independent CPA or tax professional you engage.
