1. What this policy covers
This Cookie Policy explains how ABFI LLC (“ABFI,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) and the service providers built into our website at https://www.abfiaccounting.com use cookies and similar technologies. It adds detail to the Cookies section of our Privacy Policy, which remains the main statement of how we handle personal information.
2. What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small text files a website places in your browser. Similar technologies include pixels (tiny images or scripts that report a visit), local storage in your browser, and logs of requests your browser sends to a server. They can be set by the site you visit (first-party) or by another company whose service is built into that site (third-party).
3. What we use and why
The tools below are the ones currently built into the site. Some of them, including Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel, use cookies or similar technologies to measure visits and to support ABFI advertising.
| Purpose | Tool | What it does | Set by |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chat and text messaging | HighLevel / LeadConnector chat widget | Runs the chat bubble on each page and keeps your conversation open between pages. | HighLevel (third party) |
| Scheduling | HighLevel / LeadConnector booking calendar | Opens when you choose to book a call. The calendar runs on HighLevel’s own pages and may set its own cookies there. | HighLevel (third party) |
| Fonts | Google Fonts | Delivers the typeface used on the site. Your browser requests the font files from Google, so Google receives your IP address and browser details. | Google (third party) |
| Site measurement | ABFI’s own page-view and click log | Records which pages are viewed and which buttons are clicked, with the referring page, campaign tags in the link (UTM), browser type and a one-way scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address. It does not set a cookie. | ABFI |
| Analytics | Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager | Measure how visitors find and use the website, such as pages viewed, time on page, the device type and the general area a visit comes from. Google Analytics sets its own cookies (for example _ga) to tell visits apart. | Google (third party) |
| Advertising | Meta Pixel | Measures visits that come from ABFI ads on Facebook and Instagram, helps show ABFI ads to people who have visited the website, and may set cookies (for example _fbp) in your browser. | Meta (third party) |
We review this list when tools on the website change. Third-party providers may change the names or number of the cookies they set without notice to ABFI.
4. Forms and tools on the site
The following features collect information you type in. They do not rely on cookies, but they are listed here so you know where your details go:
- Contact form. Your name, email, title, company, the need you select and your message are stored by ABFI and sent to our HighLevel account so we can reply.
- Pricing estimator. Your answers produce an estimated range in your browser. If you choose to unlock or send your estimate, your contact details and answers are submitted the same way as the contact form.
- The ABFI Accounting Brief newsletter. Your email address, the page you signed up from and any campaign tags in the link are stored so we can send the newsletter. Every issue includes an unsubscribe link.
- Diagnostic sample reports. To download a sample report you give your email address (first name is optional) and agree to receive the newsletter. We record which sample you asked for and send you a download link that expires after 24 hours. Your details are also added to our HighLevel account.
See the Privacy Policy for how this information is used, shared, kept and deleted.
5. Third-party services
HighLevel (LeadConnector), Google and any other provider listed above control the cookies they set and how they use the information. Their own privacy and cookie policies apply. ABFI does not control those cookies.
Provider policies: Google Privacy Policy, Meta Privacy Policy and HighLevel Privacy Policy.
6. Your choices
You can block or delete cookies and local storage in your browser settings. Most browsers also let you block third-party cookies only. If you block them, the chat widget or booking calendar may not work, but the rest of the website will.
You can also contact us by email or phone instead of using the chat widget or booking calendar.
You can stop Google Analytics from measuring your visits with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, and you can manage how Meta uses website activity for ads in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when we add, remove or change tools on the website. The revised policy will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
